Sarah Chen began her snowboarding journey at the age of 8 on the slopes of Whistler. What started as weekend fun with her family quickly evolved into a burning passion that would define her life.
By age 12, she was competing in local competitions, and by 16, she had earned her first spot on the national team. Her breakthrough came at the 2019 World Championships where she landed the first double cork 1260 by a female rider in competition.
Known for her technical precision and fearless approach to big air, Sarah has become one of the most respected names in women’s snowboarding. She’s not just about the tricks though – her style and flow in the halfpipe have earned her recognition as one of the most complete riders of her generation.
When she’s not training or competing, Sarah loves to explore the backcountry around Whistler and mentor young riders through various youth programs. She’s passionate about growing the sport and inspiring the next generation of female snowboarders.
