Maggie Valley is home base, but if you’re chasing concrete, here are our two favorite local skateparks worth the drive. Both are free, public, and rider-approved.
285 Vance St, Waynesville, NC — a free concrete park with street elements, a big quarter pipe, tiles, and pool coping. About 30 min from Maggie Valley. Open dawn to dusk.
50 North Cherry St, Asheville, NC — a free city-run park, open 6am–10pm daily. About an hour from Maggie Valley — worth the trip.
